A judge sentenced Dylan Pountney to serve a mandatory life sentence without parole eligibility for 12 years for the 2021 stabbing death of Jennifer Winkler. Poutney, convicted of second-degree murder, was sentenced Thursday. It was an emotional day at the Wetaskiwin, Alta., courthouse as victim impact statements were read by friends and family, including Jennifer's father, who told Pountney to 'Rot in hell.'
