Serial wife Jill Coit married a man for his money, but when he learns she's been married eleven times he divorces her, and she then ends the relationship (along with his life) for good with a gun.

After former exotic dancer Marjorie Ann Orbin got all she ever wanted from her wealthy husband in Phoenix Arizona, she shot and dismembered him, and then disposed of his body in the desert.

A caring, church-going lady from Durham, North Carolina, Barbara Stager shoots her sleeping husband after he discovers that she's greedy, an adulteress and a liar. An identical "accident" with her previous husband and tape recordings by her fearful husband ultimately give her away.

William Phelps, Gregg Olsen, Wensley Clarkson, and Dr. Janis Amatuzio have made multiple appearances. Occasionally, family or friends of the subject or their victims appear to add context and or perspective.

At the end of each segment, the actress playing the subject (and her male and female conspirators, if any) break the fourth wall and look directly at the camera as their fates are revealed. In later seasons, photos of the actual subject are shown.
