Defining the Optimal Service Level for Stormwater Handling in Denmark

Описание к видео Defining the Optimal Service Level for Stormwater Handling in Denmark

When implementing stormwater handling measures a key issue is to define the return period the measures must meet (the service level). In Denmark, the approach for defining the service level is described in a recent law, a method for balancing cost of stormwater handling measures with money saved by reduction of damages (cost-benefit analysis).

In this webinar we provide a guided tour through the process of defining the optimal service level for stormwater handling in Denmark, exemplified by a case study in the city of Helsingør. The methods may be applied to other areas of climate adaptation, eg coastal defence.

The webinar is for anyone working with climate adaptation with an interest in planning, engineering, and economics.
