"In a Class of Her Own" is the Chinese version of the Korean "Sungkyunkwan Scandal." A poor girl, Wenxi, in order to have money to buy medicine for her brother, disguises herself as a boy and becomes a student of the academy that trains bureaucratic officials. Both of the boys who become her roommates fall in love with her. Lei Zexin is the rebel trying to bring about change in the administration that killed his brother. Feng Chengjun is the cool scholar whom Wenxi falls for. This song shows off the one-sided love of the young rebel.
