The more I grind the more damage I do. The more damage I do the more gold I make and that means more upgrades. I just keep grinding and grinding away to make my damage as high as possible to watch the destruction. By the end of this little adventure we have so much damage that enemies seem to mostly just melt. Except that final boss, he seems stronger.
