Nevern Church and the Bleeding Yew.

Описание к видео Nevern Church and the Bleeding Yew.

Nevern Church was founded in the 5th or 6th century by St Brynach who originated from Ireland. It is of great historical value as the site is home to stones inscribed with Ogham, an ancient form of writing, and also in Latin. There is also a large and beautifully preserved Celtic cross and the famous 'bleeding yew' - a tree that oozes blood like sap all year round.
The chuch itself has architecture from several periods, with a Norman tower and Tudor nave, and was heavily restored by the Victorians.
