Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Optronics Strobe Warning Light. It's an SAE Class 2, approved for emergency applications. It's gonna be a clear permanent-mount LED. Now I wanna caution everybody from the beginning of this video, again, this is a strobe light, so you will see flashing lights, sequences with the lights off in my studio, so please, if any of that bothers you, make sure you stop the video now or turn away, maybe pause it and skip through different parts as needed. Now this is gonna be a clear directional light for your vehicle, providing a nice warning signal to increase safety.
It's got a 360-degree around it, and underneath it as well, whenever it does its strobe. I've got everything kind of loosely put together on those mounting brackets, so bear with me as far as how far I can tip that. You've got your mounting hardware here, you do have foam gaskets there with washers, lock washers, and the carriage bolts, and the corresponding nuts as well. Overall, dimension-wise, it's 21.75 inches long, 10.25 on the width, and the thickness of the light itself is 1.5 inches thick. This does work between 12 and 24 volts, has an IP rating of 67, and it is a SAE J845 Class 2 certification, as I mentioned before.
So LED, it's super high efficient, durable, long lasting. It's got a nice polycarbonate lens. (lens thwapping) Everything else is an aluminum-sealed housing, so it's durable and weather resistant. You can also wire it to a battery, or hardwire it to a switch inside the vehicle as far as that goes. Now, folks, we are at the point where I am going to shut off some overhead lights here and then commence to the strobe.
I'm gonna go ahead and turn on now with the lights on, and you can kind of see it in the daytime as far as the brightness and that kind of stuff. And I'm gonna go ahead and shut off the overhead lights, and I'm gonna zoom out so you get more of an effect. So, there are three wires on this, you have a red, a black, and a yellow. So red and black are your positive and negative, red being positive, black being negative. And then your yellow is where you're gonna either wire it up to where you can change the strobe from a switch inside, or what I'm doing now is tapping the yellow wire onto the positive wire connector, and that is changing the strobe.
And there are over 18, I believe 18 max different strobe functions here. Yeah, 18. And some of 'em kind of do like a wigwag kind of a sequence. You got just kind of straight on and off all the way around. A couple of 'em I was doing earlier, kind of chased all the way around super quick. There's one here that'll make you pass out if you're prone to those kind of things. I'm not prone to that, but it did a number on me just being this close to it in the dark. So we're gotta be very highly visible from far away, and close up, as you can see. And again, it's just a nice, clear light pattern. We do offer these in some other colors, I believe amber being one of 'em.
