The International Criminal Court is set to hand down its decision on the Defense’s appeal seeking interim release for former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who remains detained in The Hague, Netherlands over allegations of crimes against humanity tied to his administration’s war on drugs.

Duterte has formally waived his right to appear at today’s hearing, November 28. His signed waiver was submitted to the Court on Friday, November 27, by Defense Counsel Nicholas Kaufman, and was entered into the record ahead of the Chamber’s announcement.
