Start with checking your name in NRC Draft - either offline or online by visiting NRC web-site www.nrcassam.nic.in
Note down the Circle and NSK details for your ARN. Also note Village Name/ Town Ward No (along-with the 3 (three) digits in brackets) displayed there at the area above the names of Family Members. These would be required to be quoted for Registration.
Online NRC Draft now displays the names etc both in English and vernacular languages. Note all the particulars which require correction and those which are not displayed or shown as "-". These particulars maybe in English or vernacular or both. Collect the corrections to be done against these particulars and note down in a piece of paper.
Keep a copy of the NRC Application Form handy. This would be useful for quoting the Head of Family (HOF) name and any Legacy Data Code (LDC) and also while carrying out the corrections after login.
Login or register using your Mobile Number and Legacy Data Code (if any). One ARN - One Mobile Number. One Mobile Number - One ARN. It is not necessary that this Mobile Number had to be quoted in the original Application Form. Use any Mobile Number you usually use. During Registration, the OTP will be sent at this number. This number may also be used for contacting you later.
The owner of the Mobile Number will be legally responsible for any corrections/ modifications made in any particulars
Inform us at 15107 or 1800-345-3762 in case any mischief noticed - inability to register for your ARN or any information about misuse
Type in Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo using Machine's English Keyboard or Virtual Keyboard. You can also use the virtual keyboard for typing, especially in case the intended correction/modification is not available in the suggestion list when you type directly from your machine's keyboard. Before typing in the actual text box, practice in the "ScratchPad/ Practice Area" to gain confidence. Go through the examples given in the User Manual
Corrections/ Modifications made will have to be in conformity with the particulars submitted in the original Application Form submitted upto 31st August, 2015. Corrections/ modifications made here will be accepted only after manual comparison with the Application Form. An SMS will be sent on acceptance/non-acceptance. This process will take a few months
Changes in Present Address that have happened subsequent to submission of the original NRC Application Form will not be entertained through corrections/ modifications made through this portal. The only place where a new Corresponding Address can be added is at the time of Registration for this portal. Please be careful while filling your address during Registration.
This portal allows you access to data of 18 fields for each member. Check all the fields in both English and vernacular - whether corrected by you or already appearing - before final submission.
Go through the User Manual carefully before starting to use the Portal. This may take a few minutes but spending that time would be very useful. Also go through the FAQs. It will be make the Portal functioning appear much more simpler for you
