Engineering mechanics: 02 Loads and Load Paths
Dr Jawed Qureshi presents this second lecture on loads and load paths. Applied loads, reaction loads and load paths are covered. You will learn three types of loads on structures: Natural, Useful and Accidental loads. How these loads are communicated among construction professional is discussed. Reaction loads and moment reaction are also covered. Load paths, including how these loads are transferred from various parts of the structure to foundations, are explained.
