Poet Munawwar Rana booked for comparing Valmiki to Taliban

An FIR has been registered against poet Munawwar Rana for his controversial remarks on Valmiki, who wrote Ramayana, comparing him with the Taliban. The complaint alleged that Rana, in his statement, hurt the feelings of Dalits by comparing the Taliban with Valmiki and hurt the feelings of Hindus. Rana made these comments when he refused to recognize the Taliban as a terrorist organization and instead regerred to them as an aggressive group. This came after several leaders made their statements on the issue of the Taliban takeover. He said that the Taliban had done the right thing asking what is the problem in their invasion. Watch!
