With the recent rainfall, the MDBA reported around 40GL of inflows have made its way to storages, however releases from Menindee into Lake Victoria are still occurring. This is to help meet the Murray system demands over summer and reduce transfers from Hume
Storges in the Southern Basin are 63%, compared to 84%.
IVT
Intervalley Trade opportunities have not changed since last week.
The Barmah Choke remains closed.
The Murrumbidgee, IVT is open in both directions, however we are monitoring this closely, as of 26 August trade out balance was 49.8GL.
The Goulburn IVT is closed, with the next opening scheduled for mid-October.
Temp Prices
Broadly speaking the Temp markets are steady, with a very moderate downward direction change from last week.
Below choke (SA and VIC) Prices are around $265 - $270/ML.
Murrumbidgee and NSW Murray prices are around $260 - $265/ML.
Above Choke, currently around $230 - $240/ML.
Finally, in the Goulburn, prices are around $200 - $205/ML.

The Commonwealth announced that the Selected Catchments Open Tender has now been completed. We are receiving a lot of enquiry around EOI 1, with the latest update from the department advising that they are working with South Australia, Victoria and the New South Wales IIOs to understand what opportunities and risks there may be to progress with future stages of EOI 1 and once they have reached a position on that, they will provide an update on their trading strategy with next steps for EOI 1.
