I just loved seeing the way that Wood Wax Finish in walnut applied to this teak wood. While it is durable on its own, I always add some extra protection using Polyx-Oil Clear in a matte finish.

Here’s how I applied the topcoat:
🏝️ in between each coat, I lightly sanded all the surfaces with a 400 grit foam pad; this helps to keep them smooth and free of dust (and dog hair 😂)
📌 removed the dust with a tack cloth
🌪️ gave the Polyx-Oil a really good stir to completely incorporate all the components
🛼 used the same microfibre roller for the flat surfaces and my ring brush for the edges and handles
💨 let dry overnight but only 8-10 hours required
🏝️ sanded again
⭕️ for the third (and final!) coat of product, I buffed in the oil using an Superpad attached to their pad holder
🤚🏼 this means I did gentle circles with the oil until it was all absorbed into the surfaces
📏 finished with long even strokes with the grain
💨 let dry overnight but only 8-10 hours required

With these surfaces now protected, next will be all the finishing touches. I just loved seeing everything come together!
