#98 The Qualities of God

When we fall in love with someone, we go through a very elaborate ritual. We want to see their picture, we read their bio, get to know about the things they like to do and their views. Then we meet them and try to assess if what we read about them matches the person in front of us. We feel their energy, how it feels to be in their presence and so on.
The same process applies to falling in love with God. Once you get past the gigantic obstacles that maybe there is no God, or maybe God is some old boring guy in the clouds, or that he is judgmental, angry, and jealous. And once you get past the impersonal, universal conception of God, that god is energy and cannot be a person. Then we are ready to begin the process of opening our mind to a new possibilities. We put aside all our biases and begin with an open mind.

What if God was extraordinarily beautiful, wise, powerful, creative, humorous, and talented? What if he was everything we have been seeking in a lover, friend and companion? Forget believing and start knowing, experiencing and entering the magical world of divine love with god.
