Orlando Pirates have made it to the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time since the 2018/19 season, while Mamelodi Sundowns have advanced for the ninth year in a row.
The Buccaneers secured a 1-nil win against Jwaneng Galaxy from Botswana in the second leg of the preliminary round at Orlando Stadium, finishing the tie 3-nil on aggregate.
At the same time, Sundowns beat Mbabane Swallows from Eswatini 4-nil in Atteridgeville, winning the tie 8-nil on aggregate after also winning the first leg 4-nil at the same venue last weekend.
