History?

Two great events took place in 1998! It was the year I graduated 👩🏻‍🎓from dental school and the FDA approved Invisalign as a device to straighten teeth. The most interesting part of this story is Invisalign was not invented by a dentist!

You know the saying, “Every adversity contains within it the seeds of opportunity and growth!” A graduate student of Stanford University, Zia Chisti, went for orthodontic treatment with metal braces. He had envisioned customized plastic retainers to gradually shift patient’s teeth to make the experience of straightening teeth more cleaner, more esthetic and healthier.
I am grateful to have been an Invisalign provider right from its infancy. It has evolved as a company over the years with so much improvement in their aligner material making teeth movement a lot easier.

With digital scanners now, the messy goopy impressions are of the past and you can see a simulation of your proposed treatment in 5 minutes. I love technology!

This case above was quite complex but 💯% of it was accomplished with Invisalign!
