Museum Paulina Bisdom van Vliet

Het familiehuis van Paulina Bisdom van Vliet is een authentiek voorbeeld van een historische buitenplaats met woonhuis, bijgebouwen en tuin- en parkaanleg uit de periode rond 1875
De familie Bisdom van Vliet bestond voornamelijk uit kooplieden en grootgrondbezitters die sinds de zeventiende eeuw een aanzienlijke rijkdom opbouwden en investeerden in ontroerend goed in heel west Nederland en in de handelsondernemingen als de V.O.C. De laatste telg uit het geslacht, Paulina Le Fevre de Montigny-Bisdom van Vliet stierf in 1923 en had geen kinderen. Zij heeft vrijwel haar gehele nalatenschap onder-gebracht in de stichting die sindsdien Museum Paulina Bisdom van Vliet beheert.

The family home of Paulina Bisdom van Vliet is an authentic example of a historic country estate with house, outbuildings and garden and park landscaping from the period around 1875.
The Bisdom van Vliet family consisted mainly of merchants and large landowners who built up considerable wealth since the seventeenth century and invested in real estate throughout the western Netherlands and in trading companies such as the V.O.C. The last member of the family, Paulina Le Fevre de Montigny-Bisdom van Vliet, died in 1923 and had no children. She has placed almost her entire legacy in the foundation that has since managed Museum Paulina Bisdom van Vliet.
