Caught Up In A Dream {For James Dean's 85th Birthday}

85 years ago, James Byron Dean was born on February 8th, 1931, in Marion, IN. He died 24 years later. In those 24 years, he created a legacy that has endured the test of time. In the 85 years since his birth, the world has changed a lot. Jimmy lived through the great depression, World War 2 and many personal tragedies. He lost his mother at 9 years old due to cancer, but found a home in Fairmount, IN with his aunt and uncle. He grew up and moved to California and then to New York. Landing roles on stage and eventually on film, Jimmy created a small but powerful body of work in only a few short years. People will most often remember James Dean as the iconic rebel. In reality, he was just a young man who was a little lost in a big world who lost his life far too soon. What could he have done in these 60 years he's been gone? No one can say for certain, but I'm sure it would've been wonderful. Rest in Peace, Jimmy & Happy birthday!
