some of the physical methods by which microbial growth can be controlled are;
heat; which can be divided into moist heat ( autoclaving, pasteurization and tyndallisation) and dry heat ( hot air oven, incineration and flaming )
Radiation ( X rays, gamma radiation and UV light )
Filtration
some of the chemical methods by which microbial growth can be controlled are by using;
ethylene oxide
bleach
hydrogen peroxide
glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde
