Kitchen Organisation - Turning Cupboards into Drawers

Dreaming of pull-out drawers in your kitchen? 🥰 And anyone else limit their husband's cereal choices? 🤔

If you have wooden cabinets, your kitchen company might be able to retrofit pull-out drawers using your existing drawer fronts and cupboard doors. That’s what I did! These used to be two doors, but for just £250, my kitchen fitter transformed them into these beautiful pull-out drawers.

Eight months ago, I found these perfect containers at Habitat Sainsbury's. They fit so snugly and make me so happy! I store all our essentials here: pasta, porridge oats, and my husband's two cereals. I limit our breakfast choices to avoid the morning decision fatigue. Just finish one box before starting the next. It’s a game-changer! 🌟

☕️ How many mugs do you have? This little space brings me so much joy—I could literally stand here all day just closing and opening it. Yes, I have a bit of a mug fetish, and here’s how I organize them:

I keep small coffee mugs for a stronger brew, larger mugs for my beloved milky coffee, and these big ones for when I need a bucket of tea. It’s all about having enough to rotate through the dishwasher and back into the drawer. I know I could cut down, and that’s something I’m working on—but hey, I’m not perfect.

The second drawer is my catering drawer, perfect for when guests come over. It’s tight, but I’ve owned most of these platters for so long because I only buy things I really love. When you love what you have, you don’t feel the need to constantly change it. Everything fits perfectly, and I can’t buy any more because there’s no room. And that’s my space—simple and complete. 😊
