After its great success at Chinaplas this year, FCS Group presented their latest innovations at Taipei Plas 2016, focusing on energy-saving injection molding solutions.

The LM-SV Series introduced in this clip is a two-platen hybrid electric molding system, which combines the speed and precision of servo-motors with the advantages of hydraulic clamping forces, available from 500 to 3,750 tons and an injection speed of up to 250mm/s. Unlike other hybrid models, the LM-SV comes with additional servo-motors that support the charging and x-axis movements.

The injection unit features a high-quality gearbox by German manufacturer Knoedler. With this setup, operators can expect high-speed stability, precise metering and a long lifespan of their injection unit parts.

The servo-driven clamping unit along with an improved hydraulic circuit allows for fast cycle times of just 4.2 seconds/cycle. Thanks to a KEBA Control System the LM-SV series is ready for Industry 4.0 and ensures a smart production. For example, operators can install sensors within each cavity to detect product quality and the control system will automatically filter out defective parts.
