Before watching this CGI animation, I encourage you to first watch FIREFOX: THE THIRD PROTOTYPE which serves as the first part of this two part story.

PART 1:    • Firefox: The Third Prototype  

The story:

The third MIG-31 prototype (NATO code name FIREFOX) was activated and given a mission to destroy the first prototype which was kept hidden in a secret base under a mountain called "The Devil's Mouth." After dispatching the F14 jets and destroying the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Jonathan Archer, the Firefox jet reached its destination and was about to blow up the secret base when Airwolf intervened.

The Firefox is a hypersonic jet equipped with advanced weaponry and capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 6.5 while Airwolf is a high tech superspy helicopter with armor shielding, advanced weaponry and thrusters capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 1.5. The two are the most advanced aircraft of their time. Who will emerge victorious?
