Using a standard ceramic ring heater and Dragon heat break, I split one CPAP air stream into four channels: two for part cooling on my IDEX setup and two for hotend cooling.Watch as I heat the hotend to 200°C while comfortably holding the heat break in my bare hands—thanks to this minimal airflow keeping it near room temperature. I even extrude PLA filament right away, proving you don't need exotic materials or onboard fans for reliable performance.This setup powers my magnetic IDEX system and the ultra-compact Picolino extruder, all on fully 3D-printed tool heads.
