125 Cr Prize for Team India // 3 New Laws Today

Starting Monday, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam will be implemented nationwide. These laws will replace the colonial-era Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act, respectively. The new legislation aims to modernize the justice system with features like Zero FIR, online police complaint registration, electronic summons via SMS, and mandatory videography for all heinous crime scenes.
After India's historic win at the Kensington Oval, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced a prize of Rs 125 crore for the T20 World Cup 2024. "I am delighted to declare a prize of INR 125 crore for Team India for their victory in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The team has displayed outstanding talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament," Shah stated.
