Sometimes, equations can be ambiguous, meaning they have more than one interpretation. This can lead to opponents viewing your solution in a way that does not equal the goal, and you could potentially lose the shake. To prevent this, you'll want to make sure you use parenthesis and order of operations (order of op. is only for Minor divisions, not any of the higher divisions) so that your equation only has one interpretation.
