While working on my portfolio I noticed a couple of issues that come up when using a sticky header aka a fixed header. One of them has to do with anchor links causing the content to go behind the header, and the other problem is that the Wordpress admin bar overlaps the header, or there is too much space when logged out of Wordpress. I will show you how I solved these issues on my website.
