Why Russia’s Angara A-5 Rocket Launch Is Significant Amid Tussle With US-NATO Over Ukraine

Russia conducted a third test launch of its new heavy-class Angara A5 space rocket with a full mock payload. The rocket was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northwest Russia on December 27. According to reports, Angara A5 will mainly be used to deliver military satellites into space. Angara A5 is the first heavy-lift rocket developed after the fall of the Soviet Union, 30 years ago.
