The Post-2015 Development Agenda, a Conversation with Emilia Pires

In this video, Minister Pires and UNU Rector David M. Malone focus their discussion on the Post-2015 Development Agenda and the questions that framed the High-level Panel's work. Their conversation touches on some of the Panel's key post-2015 recommendations, which figured centrally in its final report: "A New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies through Sustainable Development".

For more than three decades Minister Pires has been at the forefront of national and international development planning and discourse, notably serving instrumental roles guiding the complex development transition of her home country of Timor-Leste. Attesting to her expertise, the UN Secretary-General appointed her in 2012 to the 26-member High-level Panel of Eminent Persons advising the United Nations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
