Lake Mead Drone Footage

Описание к видео Lake Mead Drone Footage

Drone footage from boating on Lake Mead. Launched from Callville Bay Marina, drove through the Narrows, and beached at Crescent Cove on two perfect weather days in late May. One of the most unique lakes in the country, Lake Mead is formed by the damming of the Colorado River at the Hoover Dam. When full, Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in America, but it has been years since it was close to full, thanks to overuse of water by many of the states in the Colorado River watershed, as well as the effects of climate change and the increasing drought conditions in the American Southwest. The famous "bathtub ring" around Lake Mead is roughly 140 feet above the water line now and only shows signs of getting higher.
