This is a recording of the original Rocket From the Tombs Show on WMMS 101 FM on February 23, 1975. This was one of the only recordings of the band that was known about and heavily bootlegged until the release of The Day the Earth Met the Rocket from the Tombs. These 12 songs were recorded at the band's Rehearsal Loft on February 18, 1975. Some sources say it was also recorded on the 19th, but that’s only from sources from before the release of The Day the Earth Met the Rocket from the Tombs. The show was hosted by Peter Laughner. The original recordings of tracks 2 (minus the brothers and sisters intro), 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 10, 11, and 12 (only part of) would officially be released on The Day the Earth Met the Rocket from the Tombs. I would love to see the entirety of this tape released but I don't see that happening.
