Two pleas in the Supreme Court have sought a court-monitored investigation into the recent violence in West Bengal linked to protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act. While fresh clashes erupted in Bhangar, Murshidabad remains tense after communal unrest left three dead. The petitions call for an SIT and a judicial inquiry, as the Calcutta High Court orders central forces in affected areas.
