Hello. Yes, don't we just love facts. A fact I have for you, is that when the "JNP" (Jubilee Northern and Piccadilly) came together in the form of a partnership, when the 1973 stock trains were refurbished, they were installed to have the ATP (Automatic Train Protection) system on them, which is what modern day train systems use, under ATO (Automatic Train Operation).

You may be asking, well, why didn't it happen. Now that very simply is due to the nature that TfL did not have the funding to put the project into place. When the trains release in 2024, they will still be run by conventional signalling for that sole reason.
