There are many different icons in the Orthodox Faith
But there’s one that you can recognize at any time or place
Are you guessing what it is or is your mind at a loss
You give up yet? I’ll tell you, it’s the sign of the cross!

You see the sign of the cross is our symbol of victory
It’s what Jesus used to conquer death and Satan’s trickery
This weapon of peace keeps orthodox believers safe
From sin and danger, so you make your cross every day

Get your pointer, thumb, and middle finger joined at the tips
Take your pinky and your ringy move them down toward your wrist

Let’s go!

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - three in one
Christ is God, Christ is Man; He came down to save us

Bring it up to your head then bring it down to your belt
Like how God started up in Heaven then came down to earth to dwell
Then touch it to your right shoulder. Take it over to your left
Yeah you just made your cross
Consider yourself blessed

We wear a cross around our necks and hang them up in our home
And we cross ourself whenever we’re afraid or alone
The instrument of death is now the way to salvation
On it the blood of Christ purified all creation

With a cross in your hand, you got a sword and a shield

A foundation of Faith that put the demons to flight
