Edwards GC-S7 Fire Alarm Overview/Demo

Описание к видео Edwards GC-S7 Fire Alarm Overview/Demo

Lo, and Behold! It's a ceiling mount Genesis speaker!

Here we have the Edwards/EST (all part of the same company) GC-S7 remote speaker...the ceiling mount counterpart of the Genesis line of speakers. Like the wall-mount cousin, it still seems to live up to the "Genesis" line; thin and aesthetically pleasing, and easy to install. Not as easy as a mounting bracket system, but easy enough...it still fits in a standard 4x4 backbox, no extension ring required!

In this demo, I demonstrate...well...the speaker capabilities. Not only do Io play a few messages from the speaker, but also hook up a microphone to the amplifier for an "open mic" sort of thing. This simulates the "paging" capabilities on a typical voice evac system (essentially; a fancy PA system for emergencies).

DISCLAIMER:

1: It is a FELONY to pull a fire alarm in public to falsely report a fire (i.e. "Just for fun"). A fire alarm in a public building should only be pulled if there is actually a fire or other emergency. However, this is being activated in a controlled and legal environment, an enthusiast's test setup. No fire departments were called or unnecessary panic was aroused when activating the alarm.

2: The voice evac messages heard in the video are demos from the companies they come from. They are being used to simply demonstrate the speaker of the alarm.

Pulling alarm without authorization from proper authorities or pulling it without the intentions of reporting a fire will cause unnecessary panic in the building and a fine and/or prison sentence issued (depending on your area). Therefore, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LEGAL DAMAGES DONE. These are your decisions, not mine.
