Few indie horror games have experienced the notoriety and praise that Fear & Hunger has - and for the longest time it has been recommended to me over and over again. Now I've finally played it, and I have many, many thoughts to share.

Known for its bleak world, dark themes, and ultraviolent content, Fear & Hunger is often cited as one of the most disturbing games on the internet. But there's a running theme with for games that are disturbing/bleak/dark as their main selling point - that being that they are often reliant on shock value, subversion, and controversy rather than the quality of their own content. Does this apply to Fear & Hunger too? Let's find out.
