While there are introductions to derived categories that are more sensible for practical aspects, in this video I give the audience of taste of what's involved in the proper, formal definition of derived categories.

CORRECTION!: On the first slide after the introduction, I claim that the functor I'm defining is Tor^i(M, -), when technically it is Tor^i(-, N). In the case with R commutative, Tor^i(M, N) is isomorphic to Tor^i(N, M) anyways, but this should still be noted and correct.
