রামায়ণ ও মহাভারত- ভারতীয় এই দুই মহাকাব্য নিয়ে মানুষের মনে ভক্তির পাশাপাশি রয়েছে খানিক কৌতূহল ও বিশ্বাস-অবিশ্বাসের দোলাচলও। কেউ মনে করেন, রামায়ণের ঘটনাবলি সত্যিই ঘটেছিল। রাম ছিলেন, ছিলেন রাবণও। আবার অনেকে মনে করেন যে, মহাকাব্যের পুরোটাই কবির কল্পনা। কিন্তু, ভারতের নানা জায়গায় এমন অনেক নিদর্শন পাওয়া যায়, যা থেকে প্রমাণিত হয় যে রামায়ণের ঘটনাবলি কাল্পনিক নয়।
১। সিংহগিরি— শ্রীলঙ্কার এই দুর্গ বর্তমানে ইউনেস্কোর হেরিটেজ তালিকার অন্তর্গত। কথিত, রাবণের বৈমাত্রেয় ভাই, কুবের, পাহাড় কেটে তৈরি করেছিলেন এই দুর্গ।

২। হনুমান গড়হি— রাম যখন বনবাসে গিয়েছিলেন, তখন অযোধ্যার এই স্থানেই তাঁর অপেক্ষায় দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন হনুমান। ছবি— ইউটিউব

৩। রাম সেতু— তামিলনাড়ুর পাম্বান বা রামেশ্বরম থেকে শ্রীলঙ্কার মান্নার দ্বীপ পর্যন্ত সেই পাথরের সেতুর অস্তিত্ব পাওয়া যায় এখনও। কথিত, সীতা উদ্ধারের জন্য পাথরের এই সেতু তৈরি করেছিলেন রামচন্দ্র। ছবি: উইকিপিডিয়া

৪। সঞ্জীবনী পাহাড়— হিমালয়ের এই র্পবতাংশ কাঁধে করে লঙ্কায় নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন হনুমান। বর্তমানে হিমাচল প্রদেশের কসৌলি ও ধর্মশালার কাছেই রয়েছে সেই অংশ, নাম ধওলাধর।

৫। রামেশ্বরম— সীতা উদ্ধারের পরে ফিরে এসে, লিঙ্গ রূপে শিবের আরাধনা করেন রামচন্দ্র। রাবণকে বধ করে তিনি যে ব্রহ্মহত্যা করেছিলেন, সেই পাপ খণ্ডনের জন্যই শিবের আরাধনা করেন। বর্তমানে তামিলনাডুর সেই স্থানই হিন্দু তীর্থ হিসেবে গণ্য হয়।
