Is Donor Treatment the Only Option for Low AMH?

Many people wonder if having low AMH means you should opt for donor treatment. Let me clarify this with a case study.

A couple came to me with an AMH of 0.5. They had been trying IVF for several years without success. Although IVF is not the only option—something I’ve mentioned in many videos—we decided to proceed with it.

However, this couple first tried IUI after taking medications to stabilize egg counts. Two months later, we performed a double IVF cycle for embryo pooling.

In the first cycle, they obtained only one C-grade embryo. But in the second cycle, they got three high-quality embryos. We transferred two embryos, and they conceived on the first attempt. Now, the mother is nearing delivery. 👶

This is just one of many success stories. Low AMH doesn’t automatically mean donor eggs are your only option. Multiple IVF cycles can increase your chances, as the success rate of a single cycle is roughly 30%. With the right approach, there is a good chance of conceiving with your own eggs. 🌸
