Samson Viswanath, father of T20 World Cup star Sanju Samson and a former Delhi police constable, revealed the sacrifices and struggles behind his son's success in an exclusive interview. He shared how he left his Delhi Police job when Sanju failed to get selected in a trial, fearing negative thoughts would enter his son's mind. Viswanath noticed Sanju's talent when he was just three and a half years old and began training him alongside his elder brother. Recalling Sanju's recent struggles, Viswanath described a painful phone conversation after two match failures where Sanju said, 'Oh, I am not able to do it.' These were words his son had never used for cricket before. However, Sanju's three subsequent innings were 'class cricket'—calm, clean, and tension-free, exactly as he played in childhood. Vishwanath emphasized that as a father, he simply fulfilled his duty to give his son a good life, rejecting the notion that he made any sacrifice.
