Описание к видео RAILTIME - CP in Western Canada - volume 8

Filmed between April and September 2014.
We begin with a northbound just north of Wetaskiwin on
the Leduc sub. The train has a single ES44AC in charge
and takes a long time to get up to speed.
At Morningside we stop to watch a northbound
intermodal pick up some cars from the siding.

April 2014 and we catch a southbound at Jackson with
an AC4400CW and an ES44AC on the point and an
AC4400CW rear DPU. This is where the Hoadley sub
joins the mainline.
Next, we are just east of Lacombe where we see a
loaded westbound train on the Brechter sub. The train
has two units in front and an ES44AC rear DPU. This is
where the Lacombe sub starts and heads eastward
toward Stettler.

On a trip to visit our son in Saskatchewan we got some
action on the Swift Current and Maple Creek
subdivisions.
Our first train is westbound at Chaplin with loaded grain
and a mid-train DPU.
Next, we catch a meet at Ernfold. The eastbound takes
the main which is on a sharp curve with a high bank.
Both trains have DPU mid-train.
When we arrived at Swift Current yard we caught an
eastbound freight and a westbound potash train both
departing. Watch for the UP unit on the tail end.
Heading out from Swift Current we got photos of an
eastbound at Lister and then caught it again east of town.
Between Seward and Webb we catch up to the westbound
potash train we saw earlier at Swift Current. Union Pacific
power is quite common in this area. Especially on trains
heading for the Crowsnest pass.
Just east of Gull Lake we catch an eastbound intermodal
with an AC4400CW on the point and an ES44AC mid-train
DPU.
Our last location is at Dunmore AB, just east of the city of
Medicine Hat. Just west of here at Bellcott is where the
Taber sub cuts off and heads for the Crowsnest area.
An eastbound was entering the yard as we arrived and we
witnessed the departure of 3 westbounds in the short time
we were here. It was a windy day, so it was hard to keep the
camera steady on the tripod
