Bootstrapping a tech company as a solo founder- David Mark, Founder of Brokit

This week we speak to David Mark, Founder & Managing Director of Brokit.

In this episode, we hear about David's solo founder journey. David was born in Nigeria and moved to London when he was 7. He always had a passion for technology and coding, that he carried through into his adult life. David tells us how he came to found Brokit after taking part in a Hackathon. While he was working on the hackathon he was in a team predominately made up of insurance brokers and they were telling him the problems they were having with forms and documents.

This sparked his curiosity and David pursued this idea and built Brokit, an online platform that allows ‘commercial insurance brokers to create customised digital proposal forms and factfinders for their clients’ helping ‘your customers provide information quickly, securely, and effortlessly through online application forms’.

David also is the Founder of The Back Home Project, this is a ‘UK registered charity that provides free IT training in Nigeria, enabling the next generation to drive their own future.’ David tells us all about how he is currently building the charity to start their first class in Nigeria.
