From the bustling cities to the rural mountain sides, women are front and center to climate resilience and adaptation in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region. While there is much to applaud – part of this resilience is because many of them have no choice but to adapt. In this webinar, speakers will examine how women face higher risks and greater burdens from climate change, yet have also become incredible actors in climate resilience and adaptation. This session will dig into the particular challenges that women in the region face, as well as the solutions that they are working towards. Leading up to COP26, this session will seek to champion the importance of just and gender-inclusive climate action.
