Wittke Crocodile ASL with ZR Arm - Waste Management of El Cajon

Upon leaving El Cajon one day, this trucks zooms past me heading the other direction. I happened to glance over at the truck as it passed by and noticed one thing in particular.... it had it's grippers up and the grippers were ZR grippers. I made a U turn and followed him into the area that I had seen him turn into. Driver was really cool didn't mind me taking pictures and film at all. I talked to him for a bit during his lunch and learned some cool things about him. He used to work for Coast Waste, before USA Waste came in and bought the company later to be renamed Waste Management after the WMX/USA merge. Also that this is one of two crocodiles that WM of San Diego has converted so far, the other crocodiles have new Labrie Grippers on them but still have the same original wittke arm.

This truck was pretty cool, what I loved about this truck is how smooth it is and how the lids just fly open when he brings them back down. I'm not the biggest fan of the McNeilus ZR's but a Wittke just blows it out of the water. I'd rather see Wittke Crocodiles being converted like this one then to see new ZR's popping in to replace them. I will definitely go back in the future to get more. Such an entertaining truck.
