"Angel Wing" is about Polina Turta. It is a blood donor for over 35 years. Firstly, she convinced her husband and son to donate blood, and later founded the Association for Volunteer of Blood Donors in Moldova. Polina is nursing at Hospis Angelus. For her, fighting for life must be the highest priority. Polina Turta saved life to over 1000 people. During 35 years of her life, she donated blood to people in need in a very poor medical system. She is a volunteer donor. She does not donate blood for money or other privileges. In 1992, her blood saved lives of heroes who fought in the War of Independence of Moldova. Polina’s blood saved even the lives of patients with cancer. She is now a nurse at Angelus Hospis . Her energy, her power of argument is to convince more people to donate blood and save lives of children and women.
She has the first blood group, theoretically accepted by any other group for donation. She donates blood several times a year. She does not expect rewards or honors for it. Often is called to donate blood directly to patients with "no chance" for life. She donates them her blood, as she does not believe that there is life with "no chance". Hundreds of times she has seen how life came back for some people considered incurable. She founded the Association of voluntary blood donors in Moldova. Polina is the president of this organization which includes more than 2000 donors. All of them certified that the 470 ml of donated blood can save sometimes several lives, especially when it comes to children. The documentary will have the subject - The struggle for life in extreme conditions and personal sacrifice that people perform do to save others lives.
