The Chandrashekhara Ashtakam is written by sage Markandeya, he wants to please Lord Shiva, he is a great devotee, his life is very short, hence he built a Shivling to perform pooja every day and he got the boon that he is immortal ( Chiranjeevi ), Lord Yama is not aware of that and wants to take his life and sage Markandeya says whom are you to take the life? when Lord Shiva is there to save his life and Yama throws his noose, it goes and struck both shivling and Markandeya then Lord Shiva furiously raises from the Shivling and wants to teach the lesson to Yama he kicks Yama and Lord of death dies, and when Shiva again gives him life, he says he never goes to the devotees of Shiva....if you like this video please subscribe, thank you for watching!
