Second Gen Nissan XTERRA - Melt Mod to Clear 33" Tires

I just wanted to throw together a quick video of me performing the "Melt Mod" on my 2007 Nissan Xterra. There aren't many videos of people actually performing this mod so hopefully people find this useful. A heat gun is definitely the better choice for this modification but a torch can be used as well. Be careful to not heat the liner too quickly and check often that you are not burning a hole through the plastic. I STRONGLY RECCOMEND YOU KEEP A FIRE EXTINGUISHER ON HAND FOR THIS MODIFICATION.

1. I turn the X-terra on and rotate the wheels to give more access to the fender liner
2. I remove the retaining screws and mud flap along the fender
3. I gently tap the metal tabs under the fender liner approximately 1/4" with a claw hammer
4. I replace the retaining screws on the fender liner.
5. I gently heat and remold the fender liner to give greater clearance for the 33's
6. I hold the liner until it cools enough to retain its shape

Tools Required:
Hammer
Phillips head screwdriver
Heat source (Heat Gun, Hair Dryer, Torch, Lighter, etc)
Any non-flammable object to press the liner while heating
