The Sump, located in Esmeralda County, Nevada contains ancient tree stumps of a swamp forest of prehistoric times. Minerals of many types along with captivating formations caused by erosion are seen in all of their mysterious beauty. The curator of the nearby Mineral County Museum, Kellie Zuniga, comes along from Hawthorne, Nevada for this spectacularly scenic desert adventure.
