I was asked about this by a customer, so decided it might be easiest to and most helpful to do a quick video. Checking a couple of guitars indicated between 50-100mm between the bridge saddle and the point where the strings go through the end of the neckstick was typical. In this video I explain why this seems to be a good way to do it.
