NEW Technology for Cutting Fiberglass and Composites with Waterjet.

This robotic system is equipped with a patent pending waterjet/drill combo tool.

This tool first drills a pilot hole (preventing any cracking or delamination from the waterjet pierce), then the waterjet can start from this point, making the cut. This is also a perfect solution if you need to drill small holes. This is something waterjet alone struggles with.

The system shown in the video features a Yaskawa Motoman GP35L Robot with FORMCUT® shape generation software.
