A little about modes and especially the 6th mode. The relative minor (Aeolian) mode sounds kind of like Spanish music to my ear. Do you hear it that way? Play the first position C scale notes from the lowest note on the guitar (E) to the note on the 3rd fret of the 1 string, which is (G). Remember to use your correct fingering! For the first position that is: first finger first fret, second finger second fret, third finger third fret and fourth finger fourth fret. Using the proper finger for each note will help us in every position!
